Optometrists, known as doctors of optometry, or ODs, provide primary vision care. They examine eyes to diagnose vision problems, eye diseases, and test visual acuity, depth and color perception. Optometrists prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses and vision therapy treatments. Among the diseases they identify: cataracts, laser vision correction, diabetes and pressure-related problems, and more.
They are excellent prospects for a wide variety of offers that include (but are not limited to) medical equipment, publications, seminars and continuing education.
